Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to some common questions we come across. If you have a question that is not answered here, please ask.

Can you bill my insurance for my prescription?

We do not bill insurance at Twelve Corners Apothecary. This allows us more flexibility in the product we create without subjecting us to the restrictions of prior authorizations and insurance formularies and exclusions that can vary widely from plan to plan. Most HSA/FSA cards are accepted. We can provide you with the necessary forms to submit a claim to your insurance company manually.

How do I go about getting my prescription filled at Twelve Corners Apothecary?

Our policy is as follows:

  1. A prescriber sends in a prescription.
  2. A member of our pharmacy team calls each and every patient to discuss their individual needs. Prior to compounding your medication, we will discuss the price, available pickup time, and any other pertinent information necessary.
  3. Every patient is counseled on their prescription by the pharmacist at the time of pickup. We will review dosing, potential side effects and any special considerations for your medications, as well as answer any questions you may have.

How much will my prescription cost?

Pricing is based on a multitude of factors, including chemical acquisition cost and availability, preparation time and testing requirements. Due to the custom nature of compounded medications, we are unable to provide a comprehensive list that covers all of the products that we offer. Please call and speak with a member of our staff to discuss the pricing specifics for your prescription.
